As a Merchandiser, you work independently in assigned retail stores to showcase organizational and time-management skills, establish retailer relationships, and represent Hallmark. You collaborate with store teams to optimize product placement and maintain inventory, and may support coworkers with seasonal resets and installations. You may occasionally work with other companies’ products in the stores you service. The role involves servicing Hallmark departments in grocery, drug, department, and mass retail stores. Day-to-day work includes restocking, organizing, and monitoring Hallmark products and displays, using a Hallmark-provided mobile device for work tasks and communication, and interacting professionally with store staff, management, and customers. You are responsible for the Hallmark product display at your assigned stores. Work varies with seasonal demand. Holiday periods may require additional days and extended hours; work on certain holidays, potentially including weekends, may be required. You may also assist with installations, fixture construction, relocating departments and products, and resetting card sections, sometimes in the evenings or on weekends. Remodel assignments are typically communicated two weeks in advance. Merchandisers may support other team members in their territories. This is a part-time role averaging 8–12 hours per week, with a variable schedule during the work week. Availability before and after major holidays and to support season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory work is required. Starting pay is $14.00–$16.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience. Hallmark provides paid, hands-on and virtual training, and eligible employees receive annual pay increases.
