About The Position

As a Merchandiser, you will independently service the Hallmark department in assigned retail stores, such as grocery, drug, department, and mass retailers. You will showcase organization and time-management skills, build retailer relationships, and represent Hallmark while working with store teams to optimize product placement and maintain inventory. You may also support other team members with seasonal resets and installations, and may occasionally work with other companies’ products in stores you service.

The role includes day-to-day restocking, organizing, and monitoring Hallmark products and displays; holiday support that may involve additional workdays and extended hours; department installations and resets; and assisting fellow merchandisers in their territories. A Hallmark-provided mobile device is used for work activities and communications. This part-time position has a variable weekday schedule averaging 8–10 hours per week. Pay is $15.00–$17.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience. Paid training is provided, and eligible employees receive annual pay increases. Part-time employees working fewer than 30 hours have access to voluntary benefits.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Be able to read, write, and understand English.
• Be able to grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
• Be able to operate a digital handheld device to open and read documents and interpret information.
• Have access to a Wi-Fi network and the internet.
• Have consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
• Be available the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends.
• Be available to support season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.

Responsibilities

• Service Hallmark departments in assigned retail stores.
• Restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark product inventory and displays, including products outside the Hallmark department.
• Use a Hallmark-provided mobile device for daily work, communication with a supervisor, time reporting, feedback, surveys, and required merchandising activities.
• Interact professionally and courteously with store employees, management, and customers.
• Maintain responsibility for the entire Hallmark product display at assigned stores.
• Provide additional support around seasonal holidays, which may involve extra days and extended hours.
• Participate in department installations and resets, including building and installing fixtures, relocating card departments and products, and resetting card sections.
• Support other merchandisers in their territories as needed.
• Support season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory activities.
