About The Position

As a part-time Merchandiser, you will independently service Hallmark departments in retail stores, using organization and time-management skills, building relationships with store teams, and representing Hallmark. You will optimize product placement, maintain inventory, and support seasonal resets and installations. You may occasionally work with products from other companies in the stores you service.

The role includes day-to-day restocking, organizing, and monitoring Hallmark products and displays, using a Hallmark-provided mobile device for work tasks and communication. You will support increased seasonal demand around holidays, which may involve additional days and extended hours, and may require working on certain holidays. You may also assist teams with fixture installations, department relocations, and card-section resets. Merchandisers may support colleagues in other territories as needed.

This position averages 4–8 hours per week with a variable schedule during the work week. The starting pay rate is $13.00–$15.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience. Paid training is provided through live, hands-on instruction and virtual classroom training. Eligible employees receive annual pay increases. Part-time employees working fewer than 30 hours have access to voluntary benefits.

The work takes place on retail selling floors and in back stockrooms and is physically demanding. Employees must frequently push, pull, lift, and carry items up to 30 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds, and may need to kneel, squat, walk, stand, climb stairs, and use step ladders.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Be able to read, write, and understand English.
• Be able to grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
• Be able to operate a digital handheld device to open and read documents and interpret information.
• Have access to a Wi-Fi network and the internet.
• Have consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
• Be available the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends.
• Be available to support season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.

Responsibilities

• Restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark products in and outside Hallmark departments at assigned retail stores.
• Maintain responsibility for the Hallmark product displays at assigned stores and help optimize product placement and inventory levels.
• Use a Hallmark-provided mobile device for work activities, communication with a supervisor, reporting time, providing feedback, and completing required surveys.
• Interact professionally and courteously with store employees, management, and customers.
• Provide seasonal holiday support, which may involve additional workdays, extended hours, and working on certain holidays, including weekends.
• Assist with installations and department resets, including building and installing fixtures, relocating card departments and products, and resetting card sections.
• Support other merchandisers in their territories as needed.
• Travel between assigned stores as scheduled.
