About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant individual to ensure the safety and security of our facility by monitoring hallways and common areas. The Hall Monitor will be responsible for maintaining a positive environment, enforcing rules and regulations, and assisting students and staff as needed. This full-time position requires strong communication skills, a proactive approach, and a commitment to fostering a respectful and safe atmosphere.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with students, staff, and parents.
• Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and emergency procedures.
• Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must pass a background check and any required training or certifications.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a supervisory, security, or monitoring role is preferred.
• Certification in first aid and CPR is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor hallways, entrances, and common areas to ensure safety and compliance with school policies.
• Greet and assist students, staff, and visitors, providing directions and information as needed.
• Report any suspicious behavior or incidents to the appropriate authorities promptly.
• Enforce school rules and regulations, addressing any violations in a fair and respectful manner.
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to support a positive school environment.
• Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to deter misconduct and ensure safety.
• Participate in training sessions and meetings to stay informed about safety protocols and school policies.
• Assist in emergency situations, following established procedures to ensure the safety of all individuals on campus.
• Perform other duties as assigned by school administration.
