About The Position

Requirements
- Current New York State Cosmetology/Hairstylist License required
- Strong customer service experience
- Knowledge of current hair and beauty trends
- Basic computer skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Previous salon or spa experience preferred
- Passionate about hair, beauty, and creating memorable guest experiences
- Friendly, outgoing, and genuinely enjoys connecting with people
- Creative, detail-oriented, and confident in their technical skills
- Comfortable working with both short and long hair
- Experienced with a variety of cutting, styling, and coloring techniques

- Flexible and willing to support the needs of a dynamic spa environment
- Comfortable recommending products and services without being pushy
Responsibilities
- Consult with guests to understand their style, preferences, and desired look
- Recommend cuts, colors, and styles that complement each guest’s features and personality
- Perform cuts, trims, shaves, blowouts, set & styles, and updos
- Create beautiful color services, including highlights, ombré, balayage, and more
- Shampoo, condition, and prepare hair using products appropriate for each guest’s needs
- Provide hair treatments such as hydrating masks and color-protection treatments
- Stay current with beauty trends, techniques, products, and styles
- Build relationships with returning guests and remember their preferences
- Recommend professional hair care products and additional services when appropriate
- Manage appointments and walk-ins while providing timely, polished service
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming station and properly sanitize tools
- Promote spa services, treatments, retail products, promotions, and special programs
- Jump in and support the spa team wherever needed
- Work independently while maintaining high standards of service and professionalism
