About The Position

Munson Healthcare is seeking a full-time Board Certified/Board Eligible Gynecologic Oncologist to join its growing practice in Traverse City, Michigan. The physician diagnoses, treats, and manages cancers of the female reproductive system, including ovarian, uterine, cervical, vulvar, vaginal, and fallopian tube cancers. Care includes surgery, chemotherapy, clinical research, multidisciplinary collaboration, and survivorship planning. The role is based at the Cowell Family Cancer Center, an 80,000-square-foot facility opened in 2016. The center includes an outpatient procedure suite for gynecologic oncology, an infusion suite, three Varian TrueBeam linear accelerators, a dedicated HDR brachytherapy suite with CT and anesthesia, and PET and theragnostic therapies. Munson Medical Center is a regional referral center with a broad range of surgical subspecialties and a robust robotic surgery program. The physician will work with a team that includes one gynecologic oncologist, one minimally invasive gynecologic surgeon, two nurse practitioners, two nurses, eight medical oncologists, and six radiation oncologists. The call schedule is 2:4, with one week of primary call and a second week as backup for the APP. The position is a day-shift, full-time role in Northern Michigan.

Requirements

Board Certified/Board Eligible in Gynecologic Oncology; the posting lists board certification/eligibility in OBGYN.
Active Michigan medical license or eligibility for licensure in Michigan.

Responsibilities

Diagnose, treat, and manage cancers affecting the female reproductive system, including ovarian, uterine, cervical, vulvar, vaginal, and fallopian tube cancers.
Provide comprehensive cancer care through surgery, chemotherapy, clinical research, multidisciplinary collaboration, and survivorship planning.
Participate in the stated 2:4 call schedule, including one week of primary call and a second week as backup for the APP.
