About The Position

Munson Healthcare is seeking a full-time, Board Certified or Board Eligible Gynecologic Oncologist to join its practice in Traverse City, Michigan. The physician diagnoses, treats, and manages cancers of the female reproductive system, including ovarian, uterine, cervical, vulvar, vaginal, and fallopian tube cancers. Care includes surgery, chemotherapy, clinical research, multidisciplinary collaboration, and survivorship planning. The position is based at the Cowell Family Cancer Center, an 80,000-square-foot facility with an outpatient procedure suite, infusion services, advanced radiation therapy, a dedicated HDR brachytherapy suite, PET imaging, and theragnostic therapies. The physician works with a team that includes another gynecologic oncologist, a minimally invasive gynecologic surgeon, nurse practitioners, nurses, medical oncologists, and radiation oncologists. Call is scheduled 2:4, with one week of primary call and a second week as backup for the APP. The role is expected to start in December 2028.

Requirements

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gynecologic Oncology.
OBGYN board certification or eligibility, as stated in the qualifications.
Active Michigan medical license or eligibility for licensure in Michigan.

Responsibilities

Diagnose, treat, and manage cancers affecting the female reproductive system, including ovarian, uterine, cervical, vulvar, vaginal, and fallopian tube cancers.
Provide comprehensive cancer care through surgery and chemotherapy.
Participate in clinical research.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team.
Support survivorship planning.
