About The Position

The Surgical Operating Unit strives to enable earlier diagnosis, better treatment, faster complication-free recovery, and enhanced patient outcomes through less invasive surgical solutions across the care continuum. While this is a remote position not located at a physical Medtronic site, the candidate hired will be required to reside within the territory and drive to multiple accounts throughout the region. A valid driver's license is essential for this role. The GYN Specialist is responsible for driving clinical and procedural excellence to achieve above-market growth in the assigned territory. This role involves developing strategic account plans, fostering key customer relationships, executing competitive defense strategies, and leveraging sales, education, and program initiatives to accelerate procedural adoption and market conversion. Territory: Greater San Francisco Bay area including Oakland, Fremont, Walnut Creek, Concord, Redwood City, and Marin (East Bay, Peninsula and North San Francisco/Marin).

Requirements

  • High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 6+ years, or Associate's Degree and 4+ years, or Bachelor's Degree and 2+ years of relevant sales, clinical, or related experience in medical devices, MedTech, healthcare, or life sciences.
  • Must be located within 30 miles of San Francisco, CA, Marin, CA, Oakland, CA, Redwood City, CA, Concord, CA, Fremont, CA, Walnut Creek, CA or Marin, CA
  • A valid driver's license is essential for this role.

  • 2+ years of a proven track record in sales

  • Build clinical and procedural excellence to drive above-market growth.
  • Establish strategic plans focused on GYN disease states.
  • Accelerate procedural adoption through expanded indications and competitive conversions.
  • Develop and strengthen partnerships with key stakeholders.
  • Engage customers on GYN disease management and patient outcomes.
  • Identify and respond to market share shifts and competitive tactics.
  • Implement strategies to protect and grow the business.
  • Utilize advanced selling tools, disease state education, and innovative solutions to drive new business.
  • Lead market development programs, therapy awareness initiatives, Pace programs, training, and simulation labs to accelerate procedural adoption.
  • Achieve/exceed disposable quota, including focus products.
  • Achieve/exceed capital quota.
  • Effective forecasting and opportunity management.
