About The Position

Tia is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for their Pasadena clinic. This role is central to Tia's care model, integrating primary care, gynecology, and behavioral health. The clinician will provide high-quality, whole-person care across a broad scope, including preventive care, urgent visits, procedures, and longitudinal care. The role also involves contributing to the evolution of care at Tia by partnering across disciplines, shaping clinical workflows, and improving quality and experience. This position is ideal for someone confident in their clinical range, who can work efficiently without sacrificing rigor, and be a reliable presence for patients and the care team.

Requirements

  • Day 1 clinical readiness to independently assess, diagnose, and manage a broad scope of visit types.
  • Board-certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
  • Active, unrestricted California license (103 preferred).
  • Strong experience across both primary care and gynecologic care.
  • Comfortable operating independently in a fast-paced clinic with sound clinical judgment and efficient decision-making.
  • Open and motivated to build competency in areas like menopause care, sexual wellness, weight management, dermatologic concerns, ear/eye/headache visits, and routine follow-ups.
  • Experience with IUD insertions strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with basic dermatologic procedures.
  • Interest in expanding procedural scope (e.g., Nexplanon, colposcopy).
  • Tech-forward and comfortable navigating EMRs and virtual care.
  • Team player who contributes beyond their own visits.
  • Must complete credentialing with specified payors and authorize Tia to complete this credentialing.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in trauma-informed care or LGBTQ+ care (including gender-affirming hormone management).
  • Background in interdisciplinary or non-traditional care models.
  • Exposure to integrative or holistic care approaches.

Responsibilities

  • Independently assess, diagnose, and manage new patient visits and annual preventive exams.
  • Manage contraception and all-options pregnancy consults.
  • Address vaginal, vulvar, urinary, and pelvic concerns, including cramps/pelvic pain.
  • Evaluate and treat STIs, including genital sores.
  • Handle cough, cold, flu, and other urgent care presentations.
  • Manage abdominal and digestive concerns.
  • Perform mental health assessments (anxiety, depression, mood, stress) and follow-ups.
  • Address sleep concerns.
  • Review labs and develop care plans.
  • Manage cervical cancer screening follow-up.
  • Handle pregnancy confirmations.
  • Administer vaccines and injections.
  • Provide menopause & perimenopause care (assessment and follow-up).
  • Offer sexual wellness services.
  • Provide weight management care.
  • Address dermatologic concerns (acne, rashes, skin changes).
  • Manage ear, eye, and headache-related visits.
  • Conduct routine blood pressure follow-ups and other lower-acuity care.
  • Perform IUD insertions.
  • Perform basic dermatologic procedures.
  • Expand procedural scope (e.g., Nexplanon, colposcopy).
  • Practice shared decision-making and treat patients as partners.
  • Lead with curiosity, warmth, and clinical rigor.
  • Provide inclusive, sex-positive, and affirming care for all patients.
  • Navigate EMRs and virtual care.
  • Contribute to improving workflows and supporting peers.
