Gymnastics Instructor - Tuckahoe YMCA
About The Position
The Tuckahoe YMCA is currently seeking part-time gymnastics instructors to help with our gymnastics program. This role involves developing and implementing a safe and enjoyable gymnastics program, facilitating practices, games, and clinics, creating lesson plans for youth ages 5-11, purchasing necessary materials, and providing leadership to other gymnastics staff. Requirements
- Basic gymnastics knowledge and experience.
- Ability to instruct and spot school-age children in basic gymnastics skills.
- Ability to adequately observe participant activities, enforce safety regulations, and apply appropriate policies and procedures.
- Visual and auditory ability to respond to critical incidents and the physical ability to act swiftly in an emergency situation.
- Experience in working with children and with gymnastics and/or movement basics.
- Willingness to learn and demonstrate appropriate spotting and teaching techniques.
Nice To Haves
- First Aid/CPR/AED certifications are desired upon hire but not required.
