Gymnastics Instructor - Patrick Henry YMCA
About The Position
The Patrick Henry YMCA is currently seeking part time gymnastics instructors to help with our gymnastics program! Must be available on weekday evenings and Saturday mornings. The pay range for this position is $15-$16 per our based on experience & qualifications. Requirements
- Basic gymnastics knowledge and experience.
- Ability to instruct and spot school-age children in basic gymnastics skills.
- Ability to adequately observe participant activities, enforce safety regulations, and apply appropriate policies and procedures.
- Visual and auditory ability to respond to critical incidents and the physical ability to act swiftly in an emergency situation.
- Experience in working with children and with gymnastics and/or movement basics.
- Willingness to learn and demonstrate at all times appropriate spotting and teaching techniques.
Nice To Haves
- First Aid/CPR/AED certifications are desired upon hire but not required.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a safe and enjoyable gymnastics program.
- Work weekday evenings and weekends to help facilitate gymnastics practices, games and clinics.
- Create lesson plans for youth ages 5-11.
- Purchase necessary materials.
- Provide leadership to other gymnastics staff.
