About The Position

92NY Gymnastics is hiring year-round competitive and recreational gymnastics coaches for its Xcel competitive team (Bronze–Diamond) and recreational program, which serves children as young as 1 year old through adults. Coaches work in a supportive, family-focused environment. Opportunities are available every day of the week, including weekend birthday parties. Training is available, and the Fall semester begins September 14. The position offers flexible scheduling with no minimum hour requirement, competitive pay, and opportunities to grow within a collaborative team. Requirements

Experience working with children.
High school diploma.
CPR certification required within six months of hire; 92NY can support obtaining certification.
USA Gymnastics Instructor or Professional certification preferred.
Prior coaching experience preferred.
USA Gymnastics certification preferred.
Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

Ensure the safety and oversight of recreational and/or competitive gymnasts at all times, using appropriate spotting techniques.
Deliver age-appropriate curriculum and demonstrate working knowledge of equipment setup and breakdown.
Spot gymnasts correctly as needed.
Attend and participate in staff meetings and training.
Track athlete attendance and promptly report issues or incidents to a supervisor.
Greet children and families positively and provide a fun daily experience.
Complete athlete progress charts regularly and communicate level recommendations to families.
Participate in class exhibitions and parent observations.
For team coaches, attend competitive meets.
