About The Position

At the Madison Area YMCA, the Gymnastics Assistant Instructor assists as directed in leading energizing, fun, safe, and educational youth classes. The role also involves assisting in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe facility, and following YMCA policies and procedures, including responding to emergency situations by taking the lead from their supervisor. Specific responsibilities related to the supervision of youth include adhering to policies on boundaries, attending required abuse risk management training, following procedures for managing high-risk activities and supervising youth, reporting suspicious or inappropriate behaviors and policy violations, and following mandated abuse reporting requirements.

Requirements

• Must be able to take the lead from their supervisor in emergency situations.
• Must attend required abuse risk management training.
