About The Position
The Petersburg Family YMCA is currently seeking part-time responsible individuals to oversee gymnasium services and activities. This part-time position starts at $13.00 per hour. This position requires work hours Monday-Friday evenings (4pm-8pm), and Saturdays (7am-11am).
Requirements
- Service-oriented, role model with a member-first attitude.
- Ability to recognize and respond to unsafe situations.
- Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to use a computer, telephone, and related business equipment.
- Ability to communicate effectively with others.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
Responsibilities
- Oversee gymnasium services and activities.
- Perform special projects as assigned.
- Maintain gymnasium equipment and inventory.
- Set up and break down events.
- Maintain surveillance during games, activities, and member participation.
- Facilitate seating and set up for gym rental, as necessary.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with members and staff.
