Gutter Installer
About The Position
Quality Building Products is seeking experienced Gutter Installers to join its Fredericksburg team, serving the Fredericksburg and Stafford, Virginia areas. This is a full-time, safety-sensitive position involving installation of gutter systems according to work orders, manufacturer specifications, quality standards, and safety guidelines. The role includes local daily travel to job sites and may include warehouse-related duties. Compensation is piece-rate, with stated hourly-equivalent earnings of $18.00–$45.00; actual earnings vary based on completed work and applicable piece rates. During the first two weeks of onboarding, pay is hourly at $18.00–$25.00 based on experience, after which employees transition to piece-rate compensation. Qualified installers with at least two years of proven, full-time gutter installation experience may receive a $1,500 sign-on bonus, paid in two $750 installments after six and twelve months of employment, subject to experience verification and continued employment through each milestone. Requirements
- At least 2 years of proven, verifiable, full-time gutter installation experience.
- Experience operating a seamless gutter machine and fabricating and installing seamless gutters.
- Valid driver's license and ability to safely operate a box truck.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to work independently and as part of an installation crew.
- Strong understanding of gutter installation methods, measurements, and proper drainage.
- Commitment to workplace safety, quality, and productivity.
Responsibilities
- Operate seamless gutter machines and fabricate gutters to required measurements.
- Install gutters, downspouts, elbows, miters, and related components.
- Review daily work schedules and ensure trucks are loaded with required products, tools, and equipment.
- Complete vehicle safety and job site inspections.
- Safely operate company vehicles and transport materials to job sites.
- Safely unload and stage materials at job sites.
- Maintain quality workmanship and professional communication with customers and team members.
- Report safety, customer, or quality concerns.
- Perform warehouse-related duties as required.
- Perform other duties, tasks, or responsibilities as assigned.
