About The Position

Quality Building Products, part of TruTeam and the TopBuild family of companies, is seeking experienced Gutter Installers for its Fredericksburg team serving the Fredericksburg/Stafford, Virginia area. This is a full-time, safety-sensitive position installing gutter systems according to work orders, manufacturer specifications, quality standards, and safety guidelines. Installers travel locally to job sites and work independently or as part of an installation crew.

Compensation is piece-rate, with stated hourly-equivalent earnings of $18.00–$45.00. During the first two weeks, employees receive hourly pay of $18.00–$25.00 based on experience; after onboarding, they transition to piece-rate compensation based on completed installation work. Piece rates account for gutter and downspout footage, individual components, installation height, distance from the shop, and job complexity. A $1,500 sign-on bonus is available to qualifying installers with at least two years of proven, full-time gutter installation experience. It is paid in two installments: $750 after six months and $750 after 12 months of employment, subject to verification of experience and continued employment at each milestone.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of proven, verifiable, full-time gutter installation experience.
• Experience operating a seamless gutter machine and fabricating and installing seamless gutters.
• Valid driver's license and ability to safely operate a box truck.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Ability to work independently and as part of an installation crew.
• Strong understanding of gutter installation methods, measurements, and proper drainage.
• Commitment to workplace safety, quality, and productivity.
• Ability to perform prolonged standing and repetitive motions, including bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling.
• Good hand-eye coordination, hand dexterity, and physical strength.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, depending on job duties, climb ladders, kneel, reach, and work at heights.

Responsibilities

• Operate seamless gutter machines and fabricate gutters to required measurements.
• Install gutters, downspouts, elbows, miters, and related components.
• Review daily work schedules and ensure trucks are loaded with required products, tools, and equipment.
• Complete vehicle safety and job-site inspections.
• Safely operate company vehicles and transport materials to job sites.
• Safely unload and stage materials at job sites.
• Maintain quality workmanship and professional communication with customers and team members.
• Report safety, customer, or quality concerns.
• Perform warehouse-related duties as required.
• Perform other duties, tasks, or responsibilities as assigned.
