About The Position

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Guidewire BillingCenter Business Analyst to lead end to end functional analysis, solution design, and implementation for Guidewire BillingCenter initiatives. The role involves driving requirements, optimizing billing processes, mentoring junior analysts, and collaborating closely with business stakeholders, architects, and engineering teams to deliver scalable solutions within PC insurance ecosystems.

Requirements

  • 7 years as a Business Analyst with strong PC insurance domain expertise.
  • 4 years hand-on experience with Guidewire BillingCenter configuration, workflows, rules, batch, integrations.
  • Strong understanding of billing lifecycles such as payment processing, financial transactions, adjustments, suspense, and direct vs. agency billing.
  • Experience writing user stories, business rules, data mapping, and integration specs (API, middleware, payment gateways, ERP).
  • Proficient in Agile/Scrum with tools like Jira or Azure DevOps.
  • Excellent communication, analytical thinking, and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Lead requirements gathering for complex BillingCenter functionalities: Billing, Invoicing, Payments, Collections, Write-offs, Producer Management, Installments.
  • Translate business needs into detailed BRDs, FRDs, configuration specs, business rules, and epics/stories with acceptance criteria.
  • Define end-to-end billing workflows, data mappings, and integration specifications.
  • Provide deep functional expertise across BillingCenter modules, events, batch processes, recharge rules, and account/billing setup.
  • Work closely with configuration teams to validate design decisions and ensure alignment with Guidewire best practices.
  • Evaluate BillingCenter product capabilities and recommend configuration vs. customization.
  • Serve as functional lead across Agile squads, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
  • Collaborate with architects, developers, QA, and product owners throughout the SDLC.
  • Review functional designs, test plans, and sprint deliverables for completeness and compliance.
  • Provide direction during SIT/UAT and lead defect triage, prioritization, and resolution.
  • Analyze existing billing processes and propose modernization, automation, and optimization opportunities.
  • Provide strategic recommendations aligned with enterprise billing and finance transformation goals.
  • Guide stakeholders on BillingCenter functionality limitations and roadmap alignment.
  • Lead workshops, discovery sessions, and cross-functional meetings with business owners, finance teams, and IT leaders.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure clarity across business and technical teams.
  • Mentor junior Business Analysts and support knowledge transition across teams.
