About The Position

ChampionX, now part of SLB, is seeking a Guide Operator in Pleasanton, Texas. The role is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of general machinery other than CNC equipment, including straighteners, hones, paint equipment, grinders, plating and coating machinery, saws, ovens, and heat-treating equipment. The operator is expected to maintain high standards of safety, quality, housekeeping, and environmental awareness, and to document and communicate important information to senior operators and leadership. The position is safety-sensitive and may be subject to employer or customer drug testing. If selected, employment will begin with ChampionX and transition to SLB as part of the planned integration.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience operating similar machinery.
• Understanding of basic math and measurements, and basic computer skills.
• Some experience with an ERP system.
• Ability to read and understand schematics, drawings, and product specifications.
• Ability to understand the operation and maintenance of assigned machinery.
• Ability to regularly lift and carry 50 pounds.
• Ability to meet the stated vision, communication, hand-use, reaching, mobility, and bending requirements.
• Ability to wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including shoes or boots, hard hats, and respirators as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Operate general machinery safely and efficiently, excluding CNC machinery.
• Maintain standards of safety, quality, housekeeping, and environmental awareness.
• Properly document and communicate important information to a more senior operator and leadership.
