About The Position

Join us at the Eagan Community Center as a Guest Services Representative! The ECC is recruiting positive and enthusiastic people from all backgrounds and levels of experience to deliver quality customer service to our members and guests. The Guest Service position plays an active role in delivering a variety of public services to a variety of user groups and customers. The Eagan Community Center has a banquet facility, fitness center, senior center, indoor playground, multi-purpose gymnasium, meeting rooms and an information desk. The guest service staff is trained to work in all areas of operation which requires the ability to multi-task and work as a team to meet the needs of all user groups in the building. Applicants should have evening availability for evenings and weekends. The Eagan Community Center is open from 6am – 9pm Monday through Friday, 7am-8pm Saturday & Sunday.

Requirements

  • Job seekers should be age 16 or older.
  • Customer service experience.
  • Evening and weekend availability.
  • Ability to lift/move 50 pounds.
  • Display courtesy, patience, and friendliness.
  • Work a variety of hours, including evenings and weekends.

Nice To Haves

  • One (1) or more years of work or volunteer experience working with the public or children. Examples could include babysitting, caring for a sibling, volunteer, youth sports coach, lawn service work, etc.
  • Participated in activities, sports, clubs, or other groups.
  • Knowledge of RecTrac software.
  • Knowledge of basic audio/visual equipment operation.
  • Skills in communication.
  • Skills in multi-tasking and organization.
  • Skills in cash handling and transaction processing.

Responsibilities

  • Greet members and guests, providing information about the facility and events.
  • Process and update fitness memberships.
  • Set up and take down of tables and chairs for meetings and special events.
  • Audio/Visual support and beverage service for facility rentals.
  • Provide tours of the facility, pricing, and rental availability to potential renters.
  • Answer questions and provide information on a variety of building and city functions.
  • Work with all abilities and ages in a fun and safe environment.
  • Work alone and as part of a team.
  • Follow work direction and keep supervisor informed of any concerns.
  • Collect payments and registrations for services and events.
  • Perform light maintenance including, but not limited to, room set-up/take down and general cleaning (windows, indoor playground, floors, spills, tables, chairs, clean surfaces in restrooms and locker rooms, wipe down fitness equipment, restock paper products, pick up outside litter and snow removal when needed).
  • Other duties as assigned.
