Salamander Middleburg is seeking a professional and service-oriented Guest Services Communications Specialist (Telephone Operator) to join our Front Office team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys guest interaction, multitasking, and delivering exceptional service in a luxury hospitality environment. POSITION SUMMARY The Guest Services Communications Specialist (Telephone Operator) serves as the central communication hub of the resort, managing incoming calls, coordinating guest requests, and supporting operational departments to ensure a seamless Forbes Five-Star guest experience.

Requirements

  • Previous hospitality, guest services, front desk, or call center experience preferred
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Professional phone presence and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable using hotel systems and communication technology

Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming calls promptly with professionalism and warmth
  • Transfer calls accurately and provide resort information to guests
  • Coordinate guest requests with housekeeping, engineering, security, and guest services
  • Manage wake-up calls and guest messages
  • Maintain daily communication logs
  • Support Front Office operations as needed
  • Uphold Forbes Five-Star service standards in all interactions
