Guest Services Associate (Full Time) WorldMark Portland Resort
About The Position
Travel + Leisure Co. is seeking a Guest Services Associate for the WorldMark Portland Resort. The role provides friendly, attentive service throughout guests’ stays, from registration through checkout. The associate welcomes guests, shares information about the resort and nearby attractions, provides room rate quotes, and reserves and confirms individual or group reservations. The position also handles guest transactions, cash balancing, and guest folios while responding promptly and thoroughly to guest inquiries and concerns. The listed schedule is full-time evening shifts from 2:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. The stated pay rate is $18 per hour.
Requirements
- Professional appearance and a positive, can-do attitude.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to read, write, and understand English.
- Ability to solve problems with minimal supervision.
- Basic math skills and knowledge of proper cash-handling procedures.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic computer and office skills.
Responsibilities
- Welcome guests warmly and provide friendly service.
- Guide guests through registration, issue unit keys, and provide information about the resort and area attractions.
- Process cash and credit card transactions according to established procedures.
- Balance cash receipts, perform bucket checks, and handle other cashier and money-handling responsibilities.
- Complete check-out procedures and verify that guest folios reflect the correct charges and credits.
- Reserve and confirm reservations for individuals and groups.
- Provide guests with room rate quotes.
- Respond to guest inquiries and concerns as quickly and completely as possible.
