About The Position

Homes Alive Pets is seeking a Guest Service Representative to join their team. This role is the first point of contact for customers, ensuring a positive shopping experience. The Guest Service Representative will operate cash registers, handle money, provide product information, and maintain a clean and organized work environment. The ideal candidate possesses excellent communication and people skills, customer service experience or a willingness to learn, and a passion for pets. They should also have a positive and hardworking attitude, strong communication skills, resilience in high-stress situations, excellent time management, attention to detail, teamwork abilities, trustworthiness, and an understanding of pet nutrition and needs. The ability to lift 50lbs is also required.

Responsibilities

  • Serve and learn the immediate needs of customers, offering honest and sincere advice, and welcoming them to the Homes Alive community.
  • Operate cash registers and accurately handle cash.
  • Maintain stock on the shelves, communicate product details for specific sections (e.g., price tags, sales signs), and clean and face products and shelves.
  • Self-initiate service to co-workers and leaders to assist with projects or tasks.
  • Complete routine tasks specified in checklists and delegated by leaders, following proper system procedures for efficiency, effective communication, and accuracy of inventory.
  • Take initiative in opportunities to learn and develop skills or knowledge within Homes Alive to become a servant leader.
