Lake Ashton Golf Club, located in Winter Haven, FL, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a Part-Time Guest Service Attendant! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. Requirements

  • High school diploma required at a minimum
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. to shoulder height repetitively
  • Frequent bending, turning, kneeling, and stooping
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to work outdoors in varying temperatures
  • Normal vision and hearing ranges required
  • Must be able to operate a golf car in a safe manner
  • Must be able to fluently speak and write the English language

Responsibilities

  • Monitors, implements, and adheres to all company goals and procedures
  • When acting as an Outside Service staff member, greets and welcomes guests and players; assists guests at bag drop; stages clubs on golf cars; welcomes guests upon completion of play; cleans and stores clubs when requested
  • When acting as a Starter, greets each group in a friendly manner; explains rules and course etiquette; facilitates an orderly and timely pace of play to prevent delays; answers questions; and maintains records of starting times and golf car numbers for each group
  • When acting as a Range Starter, ensures each group has four players when possible; saves and returns empty golf cars for guest services; facilitates timely starts; maintains stocked and organized range stations; keeps hitting areas free of debris; maintains an orderly line; and ensures the practice green is clean, organized, and stocked with balls throughout the day
  • Picks up and cleans practice balls in a timely manner and maintains proper inventory levels
  • When acting as a Player Assistant, maintains proper pace of play
  • Maintains the golf car fleet, storage areas, and practice facility in a professional manner
  • Assists the group services department with the setup and organization of golf cars for shotgun, split tee, or regular tee time starts
  • Maintains proper equipment and inventory levels, including rental clubs, radios, pencils, tees, scorecards, and ball mark repair tools
  • Assists fellow guest service staff in maintaining a clean and professional practice facility
  • Greets each player in a friendly manner and provides exceptional service to all guests
  • Responds to guest questions and requests with professionalism and enthusiasm
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Supervisor and/or Head Golf Professional
