About The Position

Saint Kate – The Arts Hotel is seeking a Guest Service Agent to welcome guests and provide prompt, courteous service and memorable experiences. Located in Milwaukee's Theater District, the hotel offers a modern luxury experience with an artistic focus and is part of Marcus Hotels & Resorts. The role includes greeting guests, managing check-in and check-out, responding to requests and questions, and helping resolve guest concerns. The position requires a varied schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

Must be able to work a varied schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, and work under pressure.
Excellent customer service skills and communication abilities.
Ability to stand and move throughout the front office and continuously perform essential job functions.
Ability to read, listen, and communicate effectively in English, verbally and in writing.
Ability to access and accurately input information using a moderately complex computer system.
Hearing and visual ability to observe and detect signs of emergencies.
High school diploma or equivalent required.

Nice To Haves

Previous hotel, receptionist, customer service, front desk, or administrative experience.

Responsibilities

Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the hotel.
Check guests in and out of rooms.
Input and retrieve information from the computer system to communicate guest requests.
Select rooms appropriately based on guests' needs.
Handle internal and external customer interactions with patience, tact, and diplomacy; collect accurate information and resolve conflicts.
Respond to guest requests and questions about the area, hotel, outlets, and services.
Handle guest issues and report complaints to management.
Answer the phone promptly and professionally.
Maintain accurate cash handling, including responsibility for the House Bank.
Perform other duties as assigned.
