About The Position

The Wellsworth Hotel, managed by Shaner Hotel Group, is seeking a Guest Room Attendant. This role is responsible for cleaning guest rooms to hotel standards, reporting maintenance issues, and handling guest requests. The position ensures the security and confidentiality of guest rooms and requires a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays. The attendant must maintain quality and cleanliness standards, adhere to safety and housekeeping procedures, and complete deep cleaning tasks as scheduled. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum one year cleaning experience; previous hotel experience preferred.
  • Ability to satisfactorily communicate with guests, management, and co-workers to their understanding.
  • Knowledge of proper chemical handling.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
  • Knowledge of local activities and attractions appropriate for clientele.

Responsibilities

  • Clean guest rooms as assigned, ensuring the hotel's established standards of cleanliness.
  • Responsible for reporting any maintenance deficiencies and handling guest requests or complaints.
  • Ensures the confidentiality and security of all guest rooms.
  • Be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts.
  • Handle guest complaints ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Maintains standards of quality and cleanliness throughout daily assignments.
  • Observes all house and safety rules, housekeeping room procedures, and security procedures.
  • Cleans and services assigned guest rooms by category priority according to franchise and hotel standards.
  • Returns and restocks cart at end of shift.
  • Complete additional deep cleaning / seasonal cleaning functions as scheduled.
  • Other duties as assigned.
