About The Position

Ensure all guest rooms are cleaned according to BLC standards. This role involves maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of guest rooms, replenishing supplies, and providing courteous service to guests. The Guest Room Attendant is also responsible for contributing to a positive and fun atmosphere within the department and upholding the reputation of Blue Lake Casino & Hotel.

Requirements

• Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• While employed, must maintain a valid and active Blue Lake Tribal Gaming Commission License.
• Regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
• Must regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.

Responsibilities

• Follow job tasks issued by Housekeeping Supervisor.
• Respond to and notify Housekeeping Supervisor of all guest requests or complaints.
• Replenish all supplies in guest rooms.
• Strip beds, roll-aways and cribs.
• Change sheets.
• Clean all showers, sinks, toilets, and floors.
• Clean walls and doors as needed.
• Vacuum carpet in rooms, halls, lobby and elevator.
• Clean windows and blinds.
• Collect, sort, clean, fold and store laundry.
• Operate washing and drying equipment.
• Maintain laundry room in clean and orderly fashion.
• Move furniture to clean.
• Maintain appearance standards as outlined in departmental and BLC policies.
• Provide information and explain Players Club benefits, property amenities & marketing programs to our guests.
• Provide courteous service to our guests and be cordial to all Team Members.
• Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• Works safely and efficiently, utilizing safe equipment, techniques, and products.
• Maintain a good attendance record.
• Is current on facility disaster plan and acts accordingly.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Creates an atmosphere of FUN for all casino guests.
• Encourages mutual respect, dignity and integrity with all Team Members, by setting positive examples at all times.
• Maintains a professional departmental, company and community reputation.
• Provide a safe work environment for Team Members, through compliance with established safety guidelines, identifying potential safety hazards, and reporting same to the appropriate person for proper resolution.
