About The Position

The Guest Experience Ticket Booth Representative serves as a key front-line ambassador for the Dallas Arboretum & Botanical Garden. This role is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service by assisting guests in person and over the phone, supporting ticket sales, and ensuring a welcoming, informative, and seamless entry experience. The ideal candidate is professional, friendly, and committed to upholding Arboretum standards and policies while creating memorable guest interactions. This is a Seasonal position that requires the availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and/or seasonal evening events. We’re seeking team members who are passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences, enjoy engaging with diverse audiences, and take pride in representing one of Dallas’s premier cultural destinations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Previous customer service, hospitality, or retail experience strongly preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable using computers and standard software (Microsoft Office and ticketing systems)
  • Demonstrates professionalism, reliability, and a positive attitude
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods
  • Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and seasonal evening events
  • Ability to pass all pre-employment requirements, including background check and drug screening

Responsibilities

  • Provide warm, courteous, and professional service to all guests in person and via phone
  • Assist guests with ticket purchases, reservations, and general inquiries
  • Accurately process transactions using ticketing and POS systems
  • Share general information about the gardens, events, programs, and amenities
  • Monitor and support guest flow at the ticket booth to ensure an efficient experience
  • Uphold and respectfully enforce Dallas Arboretum policies and procedures
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment
  • Collaborate with team members and other departments to enhance the overall guest experience
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support operations
