Bordered by the Crescent Drive Golf Course and only 20 minutes from downtown Winnipeg, Thermea Spa Village opened its doors in 2015. This relaxation and renewal centre focuses on thermotherapy practices and relaxation techniques from Scandinavian countries. It offers a multisensorial experience in an all-embracing natural setting to contribute to the health and wellness of its guests. Continuously innovating and evolving by creating unique relaxation experiences, it is the only Nordic-style spa in the Canadian Prairies today. Requirements
- High school diploma
- Ability to communicate clearly with customers, managers and other associates
- Be in good physical condition; ability to work outdoors during all months of the year (weather appropriate uniform provided); ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time, ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with a calm demeanor
Nice To Haves
- One-year experience in customer service
- Basic knowledge of Windows based software
- Knowledge of the region as well as tourist attractions
- Knowledge of the SpaBooker system
- Certificate or Diploma in Hospitality/Tourism Management
- WHMIS and PHIA Certification
Responsibilities
- Welcomes and registers guests in a personalised and professional manner
- Answers inquiries regarding the services and its facilities
- Assists with reservations and maintains customer records; process various payment methods
- Maintains par stock of supplies and accessories
- Maintains cleanliness of the spa, including reception, lobby, pavilions, staff areas, and locker rooms
- Ensures that all amenities are maintained to the highest standards
- Refreshes lockers and refills fresh towels and toiletries
- Learn and communicate daily information that will ensure customers have a pleasant stay
- Listen to customer needs and respond to their requests
- Ensures flow of saunas, and may perform spa rituals inside saunas
- Tasks related to starting and monitoring fire
- Seasonal outdoor tasks such as sweeping, raking and shovelling
- Monitors and maintains site capacities
- Perform other related duties
