About The Position

Aspira Lincoln Park Retirement Living is seeking a Guest Attendant for a casual position. This role involves building lasting relationships with residents, understanding their stories, and cultivating happiness in their daily lives. The purpose is to serve seniors with comfort, dignity, and respect. Requirements

  • Grade 12 minimum education required
  • ‘Safe Serve’ designation
  • One year experience in dining room service
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work/study permit
  • Must successfully pass a Vulnerable Sector Check

Responsibilities

  • Form a deep understanding of residents and their living experience.
  • Build relationships with residents and their family members.
  • Offer a variety of support options and program choices that enrich residents' daily health and well-being.
  • Be a strong contributor to the culture of the home, focusing on helping residents live fully.
  • Support residents with their activities of daily living including eating, dressing, hygiene, and grooming as per residents' individual plans of care.
  • Answer all resident call bells and door alarms promptly and provide courteous service.
  • Ensure residents' personal grooming is appropriate and uniforms/dress are clean, tidy, and according to the dress code.
  • Assist with transporting residents to and from their rooms, recreational activities, health office, and dining room as required.
  • Provide ongoing cognitive, social, emotional, and spiritual support, as well as oral and dental care.
  • Complete laundry and housekeeping duties as outlined by assignments.
