Launching GTM, US

Monumental
Onsite

About The Position

Monumental is automating on-site construction with robotics and software. Our mission is to make construction software-defined and autonomous - a future where beautiful, bespoke buildings go up in a single day, with minimal labor. We're a growing team of engineers, operators and technicians from companies like Palantir, Qualcomm, Dyson, Shopify, Tesla, Meta and Google DeepMind. It's still the early days of building the company, and this is a chance to make an outsized impact on a problem that matters. From day one, you’ll be working with an experienced founding team backed by top-tier investors. You'll be part of our launching US team - this is a first-in-market position. To get you started, we'll cover travel and accommodation a period of onboarding at Monumental HQ, in the city centre of Amsterdam - at our beautiful facility with an in-house workshop and robot testing floor. We're explicitly not a hybrid or remote-first company - you can't build robots or walls from home, so we're onsite five days a week. Read more on why we believe you should spend your time working on construction, and learn about our vision and company. You might enjoy Based in Europe’s film on how we’re fixing Europe’s housing shortage, or this video by Andreas Klinger of what our office looks like. About the role We're looking for an entrepreneurial operator. You'll sit at the front line of our commercial engine. This is our first commercial hire in the US. You'll be on the ground, opening a brand-new market from scratch as we expand beyond Europe. Monumental is unique in that we're completely vertically-integrated. We design and build our own hardware and software, we manufacture the robots in-house, and we deploy them on construction sites ourselves, with our own team, operating as a subcontractor. Your job is not just to "book meetings" or "support sales", your job is to help build repeatable commercial momentum in a project-based industry that doesn't change easily. We build cutting-edge technology, but we sell the old-fashioned way: by showing up, walking the site, and earning trust in person. If you're looking for a remote-first sales role, this isn't it. Construction rewards presence, not polished slides. You'll work closely with our Deployment leadership, Country Managers and founders to identify the right customers, open doors, qualify real opportunities and scope the technical achievability, and move them forward toward live deployments. We call this role GTM, not because it's trendy, but because in construction, "sales" only works when go-to-market, operations, and delivery actually line up. You'll spend time on calls, site visits, and internal coordination with our forward deployed engineers. You'll learn how construction projects are actually sold, how decisions are made, and how our technology fits into real-world projects. We are unable to support relocation or sponsorship for this role. Applicants must be based in the US, eligible to work willing for frequent travel between the US and the Netherlands.
