GTM Strategy Lead

Nscale•Seattle, WA
•$140,000 - $250,000

About The Position

The GTM Strategy Lead is the senior individual contributor at the center of Nscale’s GTM Strategy & Planning team. The role builds the revenue organization’s operating model, metric definitions, planning cadence, and commercial launch methodology from the ground up, then operates these systems with rigor as the business scales. It works across Sales, Product, platform, Capacity, Finance, and Marketing. The position designs and runs the GTM operating system, including account engagement standards, funnel and pipeline processes, forecasting, performance metrics, executive dashboards, and operating cadences. It also drives annual and long-range planning with Finance and sales leadership, covering capacity modeling, coverage and territory design, headcount inputs, quotas, and incentive governance. The role serves as the GTM directly responsible individual for commercial launches, coordinating field readiness and customer cohort tracking, monitoring adoption and utilization, collecting feedback, and establishing repeatable launch playbooks. It also authors strategic analysis, steering-committee readouts, and launch retrospectives for executive leadership.

Requirements

  • 7–10+ years in GTM strategy and operations, product strategy, or strategy consulting, with meaningful exposure to enterprise sales motions.
  • Experience building and running high-stakes, operations-heavy programs with many cross-functional dependencies at a high-velocity company, and turning effective heroics into repeatable, scaled methodology.
  • Evidence of establishing operating models, metric systems, or launch motions from scratch, rather than only optimizing mature systems.
  • A clear point of view on engaging enterprise and AI-native accounts, and the ability to influence senior sales leaders and executives without direct authority.
  • Experience writing for and presenting to senior executives, including producing executive readouts and engaging Product, Finance, and Engineering counterparts.
  • Exceptional analytical skills, including SQL, sophisticated modeling in Sheets or Excel, and experience with BI tools such as Looker, BigQuery, or similar.
  • A bias toward extreme ownership and willingness to take responsibility for outcomes across organizational boundaries.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience at an AI, infrastructure, developer-tools, or API-first company with consumption-based pricing, in addition to B2B enterprise.
  • Familiarity with accelerated computing, including GPU generations, cluster economics, utilization, and goodput, or with the Ray or Kubernetes ecosystem.
  • Hands-on exposure to sales compensation design, quota governance, and attainment reporting.
  • Experience operating amid ambiguity at a company where both the product and operating model are changing quickly.

Responsibilities

  • Design Nscale’s GTM operating model, including account engagement standards, funnel design, pipeline stages, forecasting methodology, and execution standards.
  • Define, instrument, and operationalize core GTM metrics, including pipeline health, deal velocity, forecast accuracy, capacity sold-forward at energization, and utilization on landed accounts; build executive dashboards.
  • Establish and run weekly pipeline reviews, forecast calls, inputs to the weekly capacity allocation forum, and quarterly business reviews.
  • Drive annual and long-range planning with Finance and sales leadership, including capacity modeling, coverage and territory design, headcount inputs, and quota and incentive governance.
  • Ensure data integrity and process discipline across GTM motions.
  • Serve as GTM DRI for commercial launches of new GPU generations, managed services, and the on-demand platform; own customer cohort tracking, coordinate field readiness, and run the launch-week operating room.
  • Synthesize adoption and utilization signals, including usage patterns, migration behavior, and qualitative field feedback, into actionable leadership insights.
  • Design and run a field response loop to capture, triage, and route seller, solutions-architect, and customer feedback to teams able to act on it.
  • Develop a repeatable NPI playbook covering operating cadence, roles, handoffs, and launch-readiness standards.
  • Author strategic analysis, steering-committee readouts, and launch retrospectives for executive leadership.
  • Perform additional duties, tasks, and responsibilities as assigned by management, consistent with the skills and qualifications required for the role.

Benefits

  • Highly competitive US compensation package consisting of base salary, bonus, and equity.
  • Performance reviews every 12 months.
  • Flexible workplace and autonomy to shape the workday.
  • Potential eligibility for bonus, equity, and/or commission programs.
  • Competitive benefits package may include medical, dental, and vision coverage, flexible paid time off, parental leave, and retirement plan participation.
  • Career progression plan tailored to individual ambitions, with opportunities to lead cross-functional initiatives and shape capital strategy.
