About The Position

Ethon is a technology leader in Industrial AI, focused on eliminating waste in manufacturing by building agentic workflows that optimize cost, quality, and speed of production. The company is fast-growing, backed by leading investors, and comprises a team from top tech and consulting firms. In this role, the GTM Manager will be responsible for acquiring new customer relationships, from initial conversation to signed contract, with leading manufacturers. This involves shaping the go-to-market strategy, including market segments and messaging, and working directly with founders and cross-functional teams to drive growth. The role requires selling into complex, often skeptical industrial environments where trust is paramount and deals may not be linear, demanding the ability to create momentum.

Requirements

  • Technical enough to run deep discovery on a customer's production process and commercially sharp enough to close the deal.
  • 2-5 years of early-career experience, with enough knowledge of what 'great' looks like and potential for significant growth.
  • Curious and sharp enough to learn a new, complex domain like manufacturing quickly.
  • Possess a builder mindset, communicating learnings clearly, fixing broken elements, and building what's missing.
  • Coachable, likeable, and intellectually honest, capable of quickly building trust and improving the team.
  • Prefer to own a problem rather than being told exactly what to do.
  • Backgrounds such as founding experience with product building and selling exposure.
  • Experience with technical enterprise platforms (e.g., Palantir or C3.ai) with customer-facing experience.
  • Experience from top consulting firms (MBB or equivalent) with a technical background.
  • Technical GTM roles at high-growth scaleups.
  • Experience in digital transformation in manufacturing where processes were slow.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in manufacturing, industrial tech, or operations.
  • A technical degree in engineering, data science, mathematics, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with how production data flows (e.g., Historians, MES, SCADA, ERP).
  • Experience with enterprise sales tools like Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, or similar.
  • Fluency in German, French, or other European languages.

Responsibilities

  • Own the full sales cycle from first conversation to signing a contract, proactively identifying opportunities, breaking into accounts, and building relationships from scratch.
  • Sit across from plant managers, operations leaders, and process engineers, spending time on shopfloors to understand production and build a compelling case for Ethon.
  • Shape the GTM motion, including prioritizing industries, refining messaging, and positioning against incumbents.
  • Develop a point of view on where Ethon can create outsized impact and bring that thinking to the team.
  • Help build a scalable GTM engine by working with business development, marketing, and deployment teams to refine pipeline generation, deal execution, and conversion speed.
  • Systematize what works and fix what doesn't in the GTM process.
  • Talk to process engineers on the shopfloor and COOs in the boardroom, understanding their operations, KPIs, and pain points.
  • Go beyond surface-level discovery to dig deep into operational challenges, uncover real pain, and understand decision-making processes.
  • Earn credibility with operators, engineers, and executives, quickly building trust in environments often skeptical of AI.
  • Travel to customer sites, attend industry events, and spend time on shopfloors to gain insights.
  • Own a number, close deals, and be measured on actual outcomes, persistently working towards a 'yes' despite hearing 'no' repeatedly.
  • Collaborate with company leadership on strategic accounts and key GTM decisions, shaping the company's direction.
  • Move fast and fix things; flag broken processes, propose fixes, and execute them quickly.
  • Act like an owner, taking responsibility for outcomes rather than just activities.
  • Work with ambitious people, pushing each other for growth and taking the work seriously while having fun.

  • Performance-based career and growth paths
  • On-site work with significant scope for flexible schedules
  • Competitive compensation including stock options giving you a stake in Ethon's long-term success
