About The Position

Kitware is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced GTM Manager who will own the process of bringing select Kitware technology to market. The GTM Manager will track our early stage technology development products, working with project leads to nurture technology suitable for commercialization. For identified technology, the GTM Manager will identify potential markets for the technology, assess the opportunities, and lead the go-to-market strategy. Our GTM Manager is responsible for ensuring that Kitware’s product and service offerings solve real problems, differentiate us from the competition, and maximize our impact. Our GTM Manager will assess the size of the opportunity, determine the funding necessary to launch the offering, and may engage with the VC community to find launch partners. This role is part of our business development team, and works closely with technical and administrative teams to understand our technology, research market needs, strategize product and service options, execute launch plans, and track results.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, a STEM field, or another relevant area.
  • 10+ years of demonstrated experience related to the job duties.
  • 5+ years of experience in a technology company.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience bringing new products or services to market.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Passion for technology, with the ability to understand and clearly communicate complex concepts.
  • Due to contractual requirements, only candidates who are U.S. persons (citizens, permanent residents, asylees, or refugees) will be considered for this position.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced technical degree, MBA, or equivalent experience.
  • Repeat experience bringing new products or services to market across multiple domains including healthcare, engineering, technology, and defense.

Responsibilities

  • Track a set of 10-20 projects that are developing technology with potential for commercialization.
  • Work closely with project leads to align technology development with market needs, and identify opportunities to pursue commercialization.
  • Engage with potential customers across candidate markets to understand needs.
  • Assess alternative options to determine our competitive advantage.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to package our technology into a product or service that meets the needs of one or more market segments.
  • Working with the marketing team, develop a plan for bringing our product and service offerings to market.
  • Collaborate to build and deliver pitch decks to secure necessary funding or strategic partnerships.
  • Set goals and key performance indicators to measure success of our efforts.
  • Track these KPIs over time, and adjust our strategies to ensure success.
  • Share knowledge of go-to-market best practices and current trends.
