GTM Engineer

WorkbrewWilmington, DE

About The Position

Workbrew is seeking a GTM Engineer to join their marketing team as their first technical growth hire. This role will serve as the connection between marketing strategy and its execution systems, focusing on building the infrastructure to convert leads into free users and free users into pro customers. It's a full-stack growth position, combining aspects of systems engineering, data analysis, and campaign development. The GTM Engineer will collaborate directly with the Growth Lead to define project scope and then take full ownership of the execution from start to finish. The core responsibility is to operationalize the marketing strategy.

Requirements

  • Strong hands-on experience with the tech stack (Pipedrive, Pipedream, Clay, Loops, Google Analytics (GA4), Sales Navigator, Slack, Front).
  • Experience with paid ad platforms (Google Ads and LinkedIn Campaign Manager).
  • Experience with CRM deal routing, assignment logic, and pipeline automation.
  • Comfort with analytics: GA4, UTM tracking, attribution modelling.
  • RevOps or growth engineering mindset — understanding of the full data flow, not just individual integrations.
  • Ability to work independently, move fast, and communicate clearly with non-technical stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with open source projects or communities.
  • Familiarity with developer relations or developer-focused products.
  • Active following of the Homebrew ecosystem or existing use of Homebrew.

Responsibilities

  • Connect CRM (Pipedrive), Sales Nav, and Google Analytics into a unified signal layer.
  • Set up data enrichment in Clay, connected to Pipedrive, including processing backlogs and automatically enriching new contacts upon creation.
  • Mature lead routing logic.
  • Audit and document existing Pipedream workflows, improving their reliability and coverage.
  • Ensure Workbrew Console events flow accurately into Pipedrive.
  • Instrument GA4 event tracking across the full funnel: content interaction → free signup → workspace activation → pro conversion.
  • Implement UTM and link tracking across all outgoing communications (email, ads, campaigns) to trace back to the user journey.
  • Build reporting dashboards for marketing to monitor performance weekly.
  • Set up paid ad infrastructure across Google Search and LinkedIn.
  • Co-build intent-based campaigns targeting IT Ops teams interested in MDM, macOS onboarding, and endpoint security.
  • Build a reactive ad system that responds to industry trends.
  • Set up retargeting audiences from webinar attendees, gated content downloaders, and console visitors.
  • Build automated email sequences in Loops triggered by web behavior (e.g., webinar signup, gated download, link click).
  • Design the lead-to-free-signup nurture flow with relevant, timely, and tracked content.
  • Build the free-to-pro signal threshold system, automatically triggering the pro offer when a workspace meets specific intent signal criteria (e.g., downloads, logins, device check-ins, team activity).
  • Build the quarterly workspace audit campaign to identify dormant workspaces, segment MDM gaps, and run automated outreach to encourage first device check-ins.
  • Instrument the onboarding funnel to identify user drop-off points after signup.
  • Define and track the "activated workspace" metric weekly.

Benefits

  • Ownership, trust, and space to do best thinking.
  • Work in the open source ecosystem.
  • Move quickly.
  • Care deeply about quality.
  • Leave room for life outside work.
