GTM Engineer, AI-Native Web

Kiteworks•San Mateo, CA
•$150,000 - $190,000

About The Position

Kiteworks is hiring an engineer to design and ship AI-native systems for its website and marketing engine. The role builds agents, LLM pipelines, and retrieval systems that generate, personalize, validate, and measure web experiences at scale. It requires production engineering capability combined with a marketing focus on pipeline, conversion, and buyer intent. This is a high-ownership role with direct engagement with marketing, sales, and product leadership. The engineer will create an AI-native web platform with human review, build retrieval and quality safeguards grounded in Kiteworks’ product and compliance knowledge, and rapidly deliver campaign pages and experiences. The role connects the website to GTM systems, develops buyer-personalized experiences, and owns performance, accessibility, SEO, AI search visibility, analytics, and experimentation. It also partners across marketing, sales, product, and security, and helps establish engineering standards and mentor teammates as the team grows. Kiteworks describes its product as a single-tenant-by-design virtual appliance for governing employee and AI-agent access to sensitive data under consistent identity, policy, encryption, and audit controls. The company emphasizes execution, transparency, and integrity. Applicants must be able to meet applicable Kiteworks, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, pass a background check upon hire or transfer and every two years thereafter, and already have U.S. work authorization; visa sponsorship is unavailable.

Requirements

  • At least 6 years of software engineering experience, including significant experience shipping production web applications.
  • Hands-on experience building production LLM-powered systems, including agents, tool use, retrieval pipelines, prompt and evaluation frameworks, and orchestration.
  • Strong front-end and full-stack skills; examples include TypeScript, React or another modern framework, Node or Python, and a headless CMS or static site architecture.
  • Experience with vector search, embeddings, and data pipelines, including keeping retrieved knowledge current and accurate.
  • Comfort integrating with GTM systems such as HubSpot, Salesforce, analytics tools, and APIs for enrichment and intent.
  • A pragmatic approach to AI quality, including testing, measurement, and guardrails rather than relying on demos.
  • Clear written communication and ability to work across engineering and marketing.
  • Ability to meet Kiteworks, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including passing the Kiteworks background check upon hire or transfer and every two years thereafter.
  • Existing U.S. work authorization; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience as a GTM engineer, marketing engineer, growth engineer, or in a similar hybrid role.
  • Background in B2B SaaS, cybersecurity, or compliance-driven markets.
  • Experience with AEO/GEO and structured data to improve visibility in AI-generated answers.
  • A portfolio, repository, or shipped project demonstrating AI-native web work.

Responsibilities

  • Architect and build an AI-native web platform in which agents and LLM workflows produce and maintain content, pages, and experiences, with human review built in.
  • Design RAG systems grounded in product, compliance, and positioning knowledge to ensure generated claims are accurate and on-message.
  • Build evaluation and guardrail layers, including fact checks, brand and copy rules, and regression tests for prompts and pipelines.
  • Ship landing pages, microsites, and campaign experiences using templates, component libraries, and automation to shorten delivery cycles.
  • Connect the web layer to CRM, marketing automation, analytics, enrichment, and intent-data systems so visitor behavior can drive routed and prioritized pipeline.
  • Build personalization and conversational experiences for different buyer personas, industries, and compliance frameworks.
  • Own site performance, accessibility, SEO, and AI search visibility.
  • Define metrics, run experiments, and report on results affecting conversion and pipeline.
  • Partner with marketing, sales, product, and security to turn manual GTM workflows into reliable, observable systems.
  • Set engineering standards and mentor others on practical AI engineering as the team grows.
