GTM Engineer, AI & Automation

ClickHouse
$165,000 - $225,000Remote

About The Position

ClickHouse is seeking a GTM Engineer to build AI and automation systems that enhance the speed, intelligence, and scalability of its go-to-market operations. This is a hands-on builder role focused on designing, developing, and deploying systems, agents, and workflows to automate manual tasks and leverage usage and customer signals throughout the customer lifecycle. The goal is to capture the significant, largely unaddressed value in instrumenting and automating the customer journey within ClickHouse's consumption-based model. The role is part of the Revenue Operations team, collaborating with Sales, Solutions Architecture, Marketing, and RevOps to identify high-value opportunities and implement them as functional systems. This individual contributor position is for someone who thrives on building, takes ownership of their work, and aims to establish best practices for AI integration in go-to-market strategies.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience building automation and tooling within a GTM, RevOps, or growth engineering context, with a proven track record of shipping and managing systems in production.
  • Production experience with the GTM stack, including Salesforce (system of record), Gong and Gong Engage (conversation intelligence and sequencing), and underlying engineering components like Vercel, Clay, n8n, enrichment providers, and both transactional and analytical databases (Postgres and ClickHouse).
  • Hands-on development skills in Python, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
  • Fluency with modern AI tooling, including LLM APIs, agent and orchestration frameworks, prompting techniques, evaluation methodologies, and retrieval augmented generation (RAG) using embeddings and vector search.
  • Proficiency in achieving reliable behavior from probabilistic AI systems, utilizing evaluation and observability tools like Langfuse for production reliability.
  • Strong data activation skills, including SQL, APIs, integrations, data transformation with dbt, and the ability to move data between warehouses and the GTM stack.
  • A builder mentality with a focus on shipping functional systems, comfortable owning projects from conception to completion, and measuring success by system reliability and impact on key metrics.
  • An owner-operator mindset, taking full responsibility for built systems, including development, operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement.
  • Sound judgment regarding the application of AI and automation, understanding when to fully automate, when to include human oversight, and when to refrain from automation.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and articulate system functionalities and rationale.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with usage-based or consumption-based business models, understanding how usage and telemetry signals drive expansion and retention.
  • Master's degree.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and ship AI and automation across the GTM motion, including prospecting and enrichment, lead routing and activation, outbound and follow-up, deal and technical sales support, and expansion and retention signals.
  • Build agents and workflows that operate reliably at scale, reducing repetitive tasks for Sales, Solutions Architecture, and Marketing teams.
  • Instrument the customer lifecycle by connecting GTM systems and data to ensure usage and telemetry signals are routed correctly and trigger automated actions.
  • Collaborate with field teams to identify areas where AI and automation can drive significant gains, and translate these opportunities into user-friendly systems.
  • Own the end-to-end development lifecycle of built systems, from design and deployment to measuring impact on key metrics and continuous improvement.
  • Establish evaluations and monitoring systems to ensure the reliability of AI output in production environments.
  • Define the standards and guardrails for AI implementation in GTM, covering data quality, prompt engineering, evaluation discipline, necessary human review, and safety controls for automated actions.
  • Stay abreast of the AI and automation tooling landscape and integrate the most effective solutions into ClickHouse's go-to-market strategy.

Benefits

  • Flexible work environment (globally distributed and remote-friendly, operating in over 20 countries).
  • Employer contributions towards healthcare.
  • Stock options for every new team member.
  • Flexible time off (in the US).
  • Generous time off entitlement (in other countries).
  • $500 Home office setup stipend for remote employees.
  • Opportunities for in-person connection through global gatherings and company-wide offsites.
