About The Position

The GSOC Coordinator provides dedicated management and operational coordination for a Global Security Operations Center supporting a dynamic enterprise client with a large, geographically dispersed footprint. Working alongside the Inter-Con Account Manager, the Coordinator aligns people, processes, technology, and communications across the GSOC program. This role leads transition and continuous-improvement initiatives, supports client partnership, ensures leadership coverage, and remains available for emergency consultation and rapid onsite or virtual response in accordance with established protocols.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Valid Michigan guard card or registration, as required for the assignment.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification, or the ability to obtain and maintain certification before assignment.
  • Ability to successfully complete all required background screening and drug and alcohol testing.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently and produce clear, concise, and accurate incident reports.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint as relevant to the position.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive security, personnel, and business information.
  • Ability to work in a 24/7/365 operation, including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as business needs require.
  • Ability to work within the standard shift limit of no more than 12 hours, followed by at least 8 hours off before the next shift.
  • Ability to complete ongoing training and required comprehension and retention testing.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in security management, criminal justice, emergency management, business, or a related field is preferred; an equivalent combination of education, training, and directly relevant experience may be considered.
  • Five or more years of progressive experience in corporate security, GSOC operations, emergency communications, public safety, command-center operations, or a comparable environment is preferred.
  • Two or more years of supervisory, management, program-coordination, or account-leadership experience is preferred.
  • Experience supporting a complex, multi-site enterprise security program and coordinating across security, fire, environmental health and safety, facilities, technology, and business stakeholders is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing SOP, technology, process, training, or staffing changes in a live operational environment.
  • Ability to analyze operational data, identify risk and performance trends, manage competing priorities, and present clear recommendations to senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to participate in an emergency on-call rotation and respond promptly onsite in Warren, Michigan, or virtually as circumstances require, while observing applicable scheduling and rest requirements.
  • Additional education or relevant professional training is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide full-time management coordination and operational oversight for the GSOC program, partnering closely with the Inter-Con Account Manager and client security leadership.
  • Serve as a key liaison between Inter-Con account leadership and the client’s designated account and security stakeholders, ensuring priorities, risks, decisions, and action items remain aligned.
  • Coordinate GSOC transition and stabilization activities, including staffing readiness, training completion, post coverage, system access, communications, documentation, and operational handoffs.
  • Lead or coordinate changes to standard operating procedures, post orders, escalation paths, security technologies, reporting requirements, workflows, and staffing models.
  • Translate approved changes into implementation plans with clear owners, timelines, communications, training, validation, and follow-up.
  • Maintain 24/7 emergency availability through an established on-call structure and respond promptly onsite or virtually when incident severity, client needs, or business continuity requirements warrant management involvement.
  • Provide management support during significant incidents; coordinate executive and stakeholder notifications, resources, documentation, and post-incident review in accordance with established authority.
  • Monitor service delivery, staffing, performance, quality, incident trends, technology issues, and compliance across the GSOC operation; recommend corrective or preventive actions.
  • Establish quality-assurance routines and review performance data, incident documentation, audit results, training completion, and client feedback.
  • Partner with recruiting, human resources, training, scheduling, and operations teams to maintain qualified staffing and address workforce risks.
  • Develop and maintain succession and coverage plans for GSOC leadership and other key roles to protect operational continuity.
  • Coach GSOC Supervisors and support consistent expectations for communication, accountability, decision-making, and employee development.
  • Prepare and present program updates, performance metrics, risks, action plans, and recommendations to Inter-Con and client stakeholders.
  • Support drills, tabletop exercises, audits, assessments, and continuous-improvement initiatives across the client’s distributed footprint.
  • Protect client assets, employees, contractors, visitors, information, and operations from injury, damage, or loss, including risks related to theft, fire, trespass, espionage, sabotage, and civil disturbance.
  • Follow all applicable post orders, standard operating procedures, emergency protocols, escalation paths, and the client’s use-of-force policy.
  • Maintain clear, timely, and professional communication with security, fire, environmental health and safety, facilities, business leaders, and external emergency responders.
  • Create accurate, complete, and timely incident reports and other required records in approved systems and formats.
  • Complete all pre-assignment and ongoing training and demonstrate comprehension and retention through required testing and practical application.
  • Maintain Inter-Con uniform, grooming, conduct, confidentiality, and professional-appearance standards at all times.
  • Support a dynamic, high-visibility security operation serving a large, geographically dispersed network of facilities and business functions.
