About The Position

The Project Manager IV leads complex, high-value design and construction projects for government facilities. This role oversees all phases from planning through occupancy while managing scope, budget, schedule, and contractor performance. The position provides technical leadership and ensures successful project delivery through coordination with internal teams, contractors, and federal stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field; and/or ten years of experience managing design and construction projects.
  • Extensive knowledge of building design, construction methods, and commercial building systems, with the ability to solve complex technical and project challenges.
  • Proficiency in project management principles, construction scheduling, cost estimating, reading and interpreting construction documents, and writing scopes of work and specifications.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with customers, acquisition staff, contractors, financial managers, and other stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple high-value projects simultaneously.
  • Advanced computer skills and familiarity with project management and estimating software.

Responsibilities

  • Manage large-scale construction and renovation projects from planning through closeout
  • Develop project plans, schedules, cost estimates, and procurement strategies
  • Serve as on-site project manager, overseeing daily field operations and resolving complex issues
  • Review and approve design documents, submittments, progress reports, and invoices
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, life safety standards, and quality requirements
  • Provide technical expertise across building systems and construction practices
  • Coordinate with A/E firms, contractors, acquisition staff, and customer agencies
  • Lead project meetings and maintain strong stakeholder communication
  • Maintain project documentation and ensure delivery on scope, schedule, and budget
  • Travel to project sites for inspections and progress evaluations as needed
