Growth & Operations Associate

Zinda Law Group, PLLCAustin, TX
Onsite

About The Position

Zinda Law Group is building a bench of future business leaders by recruiting a small cohort of exceptionally high-potential, early-career people. These individuals will rotate through various departments including marketing, People, finance, operations, projects, events, SEO, digital work, and new businesses. This is a broad rotational position designed as a proving ground, not an entry-level support role. Responsibilities will vary weekly, potentially including performance marketing, SEO, recruiting, HR, finance, event management, project management, analysis, or building AI workflows. As the firm grows, top performers in this role will have opportunities for significant responsibility. The ideal candidate is not looking to specialize narrowly but wants to discover their most valuable contributions through hands-on experience, including less glamorous tasks. The core attitude is to tackle the hardest problems and figure them out.

Requirements

  • 0–5 years of professional experience
  • Recent grads or early-career professionals (2–5 years in) coming out of demanding environments — startups, consulting, finance, or technology — who are ready for more ownership than their current role offers
  • Something objectively difficult or unusual that you've accomplished — academic, professional, entrepreneurial, or project-based
  • Strong quantitative thinking plus excellent writing and ideas
  • A hard science, engineering, or math background combined with philosophy, English, literature, or another writing-heavy field is a strong positive — this isn't a required degree combination, we care about the underlying abilities
  • You must communicate exceptionally well — this will be tested, not assumed
  • You naturally use AI to solve problems — it's your default, not an afterthought
  • You have examples of taking responsibility without needing someone to constantly tell you what to do
  • You want increasing responsibility, not a comfortable narrow job
  • If you only want marketing, only finance, or only HR, this is probably the wrong role
  • Work ethic
  • You're willing to do low-status, tedious, or unpleasant work when that's what's needed to finish the job — and you can point to a specific time you did
  • Willingness to work in-office in Austin

Nice To Haves

  • The best people on this team will receive opportunities to take on major responsibility!
  • We're not looking for someone to specialize narrowly.
  • We're looking for someone who wants to figure out where they're most valuable by actually doing the work — including the parts that aren't glamorous.
  • Our attitude, and the one we're looking for in return, is simple: give me the hardest problem and I'll figure it out.

Responsibilities

  • Rotate across functions — marketing, People/HR, finance, operations, project management, events, SEO, and digital work — as business needs dictate
  • Take on new business initiatives as Zinda creates or acquires new ventures, with a path to major responsibility for top performers
  • Own projects end-to-end, using AI tools by default to move faster and produce better work
  • Step into a Cohort Lead role on a rotating basis (every 1–2 weeks) — running the daily execution check, tracking commitments, catching dropped work, and reporting status to Allie
  • Do the unglamorous work — the tedious, low-status tasks that no one else wants to do but that the team needs done

Benefits

  • Chance to build a rewarding career both financially and personally
  • Exceptional prospects for growth and advancement
  • Continuous training and guidance
  • Satisfaction of knowing they have diligently served our clients and positively impacted the lives of others
  • Remarkable work environment
