GROWTH MARKETING MANAGER

Title Nine Sports Inc•Emeryville, CA
•$100,000 - $115,000•Hybrid

About The Position

At Title Nine, we are a direct-to-consumer, women-owned and women-led apparel company. We create high-performance gear and clothing for women who move, sweat, and lead. We don't just sell apparel; we champion women in sports, business, and life. We are looking for a highly analytical, creative, and performance-driven Growth Marketing Manager to lead our paid search channel and help accelerate our omni-channel acquisition and retention strategies. As the Growth Marketing Manager, you will serve as the strategic architect and hands-on executor of Title Nine’s digital storefront discovery ecosystem. You will fully own the strategy, performance, and optimization of our Paid Search efforts (including Google Ads and product data feeds). Additionally, you will partner closely with and support our Senior Growth Marketing Manager to supercharge our Paid Social efforts. The ideal candidate understands how search and social behave in a modern, holistic DTC marketing ecosystem—balancing budget efficiency with volume to maximize new customer acquisition while nurturing the lifetime value of repeat buyers.

Requirements

  • 4–6+ years of direct, hands-on experience in performance marketing, with a proven track record of managing scaling budgets in a Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) retail, e-commerce, or apparel environment.
  • Agency background supporting retail/DTC brands is a major plus.
  • Deep technical mastery of Google Ads, Google Merchant Center, and Performance Max mechanics.
  • Hands-on experience or solid operational understanding of managing ad platforms like Meta Ads Manager, Pinterest Ads, and TikTok Ads.
  • Expert proficiency with digital analytics suites (Google Analytics 4, Shopify Analytics, Looker Studio, or alternative BI platforms). You look past surface-level clicks to study cohort behavior and margins.
  • A strong intuition for retail and apparel creative. You know what makes a thumb-stopping ad layout or a high-converting PMAX asset mix.
  • Build and maintain AI skills and automations that speed up reporting, feed audits, search query reviews, and creative briefs.
  • An entrepreneurial self-starter who is equal parts strategic thinker and meticulous executor. You’re ready to zoom out to look at quarterly targets and zoom in to refine product feed tags.

Responsibilities

  • Architect and execute growth strategies across Google, including Search/Text Ads, Google Shopping, Performance Max (PMAX), and YouTube.
  • Collaborate with eCommerce and product engineering teams to optimize product data feeds (Feedonomics, Google Merchant Center) for maximum visibility, accurate inventory status, and enhanced Shopping ad performance.
  • Proactively manage keywords, negative mapping, audience targeting, search query performance, and ad copy extensions to stay ahead of retail trends.
  • Partner with the Senior Growth Marketing Manager to manage, scale, and evaluate paid social campaigns across major channels (Meta, Pinterest, TikTok).
  • Use search intent data to inform paid social testing roadmaps, and vice versa, creating a continuous feedback loop between push and pull channels.
  • Establish clean, scalable, and data-backed account structures that maximize platform machine learning capabilities (e.g., smart bidding frameworks, PMAX asset groups).
  • Develop clear creative briefs for our internal design and copywriting teams. Continually test video content on YouTube, visual asset hooks on Social, and high-impact messaging across text surfaces.
  • Manage multi-million-dollar annual budgets. Set and dynamically adjust bidding strategies based on inventory depth, promotional calendars, margins, and performance efficiency.
  • Understand and optimize for how paid channels fit within Title Nine’s full funnel, monitoring how search clicks interact with organic traffic, email marketing, and direct mail.
  • Analyze and optimize campaigns distinctly for New Customer Acquisition (NCA) vs. Returning/Repeat Customer Conversion, ensuring that budget allocation aligns with Title Nine’s overall cohort value goals.
  • Rely on advanced attribution modeling (MTA/MMM) alongside standard platform metrics to understand true marketing contribution, profitability, and blended ROAS/MER.

Benefits

  • Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance
