About The Position

The Clinical Groups Facilitator is responsible for the coordination and delivery of evidence-based groups across a range of recovery and mental health topics. This role involves ensuring groups meet clinical, regulatory, and organizational standards while fostering a supportive environment for individuals seeking recovery. The Clinical Groups Facilitator will provide services in a fully integrated, holistic, and collaborative manner using a team-treatment approach. This integrated model aims to facilitate clear communication amongst all providers and eliminate duplication of efforts or conflicting approaches to care and ensure wrap-around support services are in place to maximize treatment effectiveness and clinical outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required in social work, psychology, counseling, or related field
  • Spanish required
  • Experience working with populations with substance use disorders.
  • Familiarity in working in a strength-based, trauma-informed environment
  • Experience with individuals dealing with homelessness, mental illness, domestic violence, and the criminal justice system
  • Experienced in crisis management and intervention
  • Experience providing group interventions to the target population.
  • Strong verbal/written communication
  • Ability to work as both an effective team member and independently
  • Ability to meet the physical requirements and training requirements of the position.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor/Certified Alcohol Counselor preferred
  • Experience with psychiatric and/or co-occurring disorders preferred
  • Knowledge & Practice of evidence-based practices including cognitive behavioral therapy, relapse prevention and motivational interviewing techniques preferred

Responsibilities

  • Prepares and provides daily therapeutic and psycho-educational group treatment using evidence-based practices including Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, DBT Skills, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Relapse Prevention, Relational and Psychodynamic therapy.
  • Works with the Research and Evaluation Team to integrate patient feedback into group activities and works proactively to increase patient engagement and participation in group sessions.
  • Offers arts, meditation, and recreational focused groups to improve patient engagement, creativity, communication, and connection with peers and support the development of positive social skills.
  • Ensures that curricula, group materials, supplies, and equipment are ordered, and maintained for use in all groups.
  • Provide patients with access to supplemental learning materials and activities that can be used during quiet/individual time and social time that support skill building, stress management, and self-regulation and self-reflection.
  • Participates in weekly clinical meetings to provide updates and assist in the decision-making related to treatment planning and implementation.
  • Works with the leadership team to plan, implement, and maintain trauma-informed practices.
  • Ensures adherence to program treatment philosophies and policies.
  • Maintains client and program records in accordance with agency requirements and timelines
  • Assist in all reporting as required by supervisors.
  • Attends all trainings and professional development opportunities as required.
  • Attends mandatory weekly multidisciplinary team meetings.
  • Maintains knowledge of current trends and developments in the field.
  • Participate in weekly programmatic and clinical supervision.
  • Complete all documentation in our electronic health record.
  • Other job duties as assigned to support with clinical services.
  • Other job duties as assigned to support the administrative duties of the role.
