About The Position

As Groups Coordinator, you share a passion for service excellence and infuse enthusiasm into everything you do. You will be the primary point of contact for resort guest groups (8 or more). From initial inquiries to formalizing bookings for golf, dining and rooms, to assisting whit orchestrating and expediting the check-in/check-out process and assuring that our guests needs are met and their expectations exceeded through the delivery of a unique, world-class luxury experience. You will thrive in this role if you enjoy: Team Collaboration: Working well with various departments (catering, housekeeping, activities) to ensure smooth operations. Event Planning: They love organizing and coordinating events, from corporate retreats to weddings, ensuring everything runs smoothly. Problem-Solving: They often enjoy the challenge of addressing unexpected issues and finding creative solutions. Networking: They often enjoy connecting with vendors, clients, and other professionals in the hospitality industry.

Requirements

  • Must consent to a criminal background check as a condition of employment and an additional criminal background check every two years.
  • Anticipate a schedule that will involve day, evening, night, and weekend work.
  • Experience long periods of guest interactions.
  • Potential interactions with patrons who are impaired.
  • Periods of time standing, waiting for guests to arrive.
  • Ability to spend long hours moving around, walking, sitting, standing, kneeling, reaching, or sweeping.
  • Ability to make high-pressure decisions on occasion.
  • Ability to work outdoors for several hours in varying environmental conditions such as heat, cold, rain, snow, and wind.
  • Sedentary part of the role involves sitting for long periods with computer work.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in Hospitality / Guest Services
  • Degree or Diploma in Hotel/Hospitality Management or related discipline an asset
  • Dynamic, enthusiastic, and innovative leader who thrives under pressure
  • Skilled in service recovery, consistent guest follow up and follow through
  • Proven time management skills with a strength for multitasking
  • Organized, self-motivated, and goal oriented
  • Highest level of attention to detail as it relates to daily tasks
  • A thorough understanding of the structure of the tourism and travel industry
  • Knowledge of Cabot / Inverness / Cape Breton an asset
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Office
