Under the direction of the Center Director, the Assistant Group Supervisor shall conduct the duties of this position in a manner that is consistent with and follows all YMCA Personnel and Child Care Policies, including State Regulations for Child Care Centers and the Character Traits of Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility. This role involves ensuring the safety and well-being of children, managing behaviors through positive guidance, and assisting in program activities. The position requires active participation in center activities, maintaining an orderly classroom environment, communicating with parents, and coordinating with other teachers to ensure proper staff-to-child ratios. The Group Supervisor also assists in maintaining program records, attending staff meetings and trainings, and fulfilling state-mandated training hours.
