About The Position

This internship offers challenging opportunities for individuals to learn and grow professionally within a culture of continuous improvement, aiming to change healthcare for the better. The Group School Sales Intern will gain meaningful experience supporting strategic sales initiatives and developing skills for careers in healthcare sales, account management, marketing, and business development. Interns will participate in high-impact projects, community service, professional development workshops, and networking opportunities, with exposure to senior leaders. The program is a 10.5-week, full-time opportunity from May to August 2027, based in Hartford, CT, with a hybrid work model (three days in office, two days remote).

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree.
  • Anticipated graduation date between September 2027 and August 2028.
  • Willingness to commute to or relocate to the Hartford, CT area for the duration of the internship.
  • Demonstrated interest in sales, healthcare, business development, or account management.
  • Interest in pursuing future career opportunities within CVS Health.

  • Previous internship, work, or project experience in business, healthcare, sales, marketing, or a related field.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while managing multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Gain foundational knowledge of the healthcare and employee benefits industry.
  • Support sales-related projects aligned with the Aetna Commercial business.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, marketing, product, and account management teams.
  • Learn how strategic sales tools and communications contribute to business growth.
  • Gain exposure to healthcare sales strategies, client engagement, and business development activities.
  • Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and business intelligence to identify growth opportunities and industry trends.
  • Develop sales enablement tools, pursuit plans, presentations, and client-facing resources that support business development and retention strategies.
  • Analyze sales, customer, and operational data to uncover insights, measure performance, and inform strategic decision-making.
  • Support cross-functional initiatives by partnering with sales, account management, marketing, product, underwriting, and strategy teams.
  • Evaluate business processes and recommend improvements that enhance efficiency, scalability, and user experience.
  • Leverage technology, AI tools, and analytics platforms to streamline workflows, organize information, and support business outcomes.
  • Create and maintain business resources, communications, and knowledge-management tools used by internal and external stakeholders.
  • Present recommendations, findings, and project outcomes to business leaders and key stakeholders.
