Reporting to the Senior Director, Payments Innovation and Digital Wallets, you'll be the Group Product Manager responsible for driving payments innovation for CIBC's retail clients. You'll lead the business strategy to deliver new payments solutions to market, ensuring our digital wallet capabilities remain competitive and responsive to evolving client needs. Your role includes developing and evaluating new payments concepts, collaborating across teams, and championing initiatives that enhance the client experience. You'll work closely with product, retail channels, fraud, technology, and operations to deliver seamless, end-to-end payments journeys. Staying ahead of market trends and regulatory changes, you'll help shape the future of payments at CIBC and contribute to our team's collective knowledge and expertise. At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You'll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you'll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with CIBC business lines, infrastructure groups, and external partners to deliver impactful payments initiatives.
  • Foster consensus among stakeholders to ensure alignment on scope, requirements, solutions, costs, benefits, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Serve as the business lead and subject matter expert for multiple strategic innovation projects.
  • Develop business cases, define client journeys, process maps, and communications, and drive business implementation and launch activities.
  • Identify and evaluate opportunities to enhance processes and client journeys.
  • Lead the ideation, design, testing, feasibility analysis, and executive alignment for payments innovation concepts, contributing to the team's intellectual capital.
  • Monitor consumer, technology, competitive, and regulatory environments to inform innovative concepts that protect and grow our payments franchise.
  • Define and prioritize initiative work packages, monitor progress, and provide regular updates to senior leadership.
  • Proactively identify and resolve key issues to ensure successful initiative delivery.
  • Establish and implement frameworks to measure and report on benefits realization for assigned initiatives.
