About The Position

ECS Limited is seeking an experienced engineering leader to establish and manage its Morgantown satellite office. The Group Manager will oversee engineering projects, staff, business development, and the branch’s day-to-day operations. The role includes leading and mentoring geotechnical and construction materials engineers and project managers, managing laboratory operations, reviewing technical reports, preparing proposals, and managing departmental and group profit and loss.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of related experience.
• Bachelor of Science or Master of Science in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited college or university.
• A valid driver’s license is required if driving for or on behalf of an ECS subsidiary.
• Proficiency with geotechnical principles and applications.
• Practical experience conducting laboratory testing, construction observation, and field quality assurance testing.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong project management and marketing skills.
• Leadership qualifications and a business-development orientation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of geotechnical and construction materials engineers and project managers.
• Oversee and manage all laboratory operations.
• Oversee projects and review technical reports.
• Prepare proposals and manage the departments’ and group’s profit and loss.
• Assist staff in marketing services by maintaining and developing client interactions.
• Interact with senior staff and mentor junior staff.
• Assist with recruiting and maintaining adequate staffing levels in the group.
• Establish and manage the Morgantown satellite office and its day-to-day operations.
