About The Position

The Group Manager, Insurance Sales & Service Talent Development is responsible for shaping and promoting enterprise-wide talent development strategies to ensure the organization attracts, selects, and develops top-tier talent in alignment with our HR People Strategy. This role oversees full-cycle development of our insurance sales and service employees through workshops, training, and assessment of business needs. This role partners closely with senior leaders to meet current and future workforce needs. This position directs the talent development function for Insurance Sales and Service, which encompasses teams whose focus includes the creation and execution of talent development programs, assessment, re-engineering of existing programs, analysis of training gaps, and development of a platform that provides learning and development opportunities for employees at varying levels of experience. This position has regular contact with executive leadership to discuss talent development needs and ensure that development activities align with the organization's strategic priorities.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Human Resources Management Required
  • Bachelors Marketing Required
  • Bachelors Equivalent combination of education and experience Required
  • 10+ years Training and Development and/or in a related business unit at ACE or another large company.
  • Experience leading and managing teams, with a proven track record of building and inspiring high-performing teams.
  • Demonstrated success operating in a fast-paced, high-volume, performance-driven environment. (High proficiency)
  • Experience developing and maintaining strong partnerships across multiple departments and leadership levels. (High proficiency)
  • Strong understanding of talent strategies and experience with insurance sales and service organizations. (High proficiency)

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the design, development, delivery, and evaluation of learning activities.
  • Provides strong leadership during the design and development stage of new learning initiatives.
  • Measures the impact of various learning programs to ensure the appropriate business outcomes are derived.
  • Assesses opportunities for continued improvement, sets goals, and establishes metrics for success.
  • Fosters effective project management, consistency, and inter-business unit collaboration by leading the creation and delivery of strategic learning programs.
  • Provides strategic leadership and directs the talent development activities for Claims, Underwriting, and Technology.
  • Drives corporate initiatives and values through learning and development.
  • Ensures close linkages between talent development, performance management, and career planning.
  • Lead, design, and continuously improve end-to-end talent strategies, processes, tools, and technologies to support organizational growth and business demand.
  • Plans, launches, monitors, and acts on long-range talent development initiatives that are aligned with the organization’s strategic goals.
  • Partners with executive leadership to ensure learning and talent development programs drive desired business results.
  • Oversees linkages between career management and the organization’s talent development plans.
  • Acts as a trusted Talent Development leader, translating workforce needs into practical development solutions.
  • Partners with leaders in Human Resources to ensure talent development programs are in alignment with recruitment, career development, performance management and compensation plans.
  • Participates in the development of policies and procedures in these areas.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations; maintain strong knowledge of evolving legal and regulatory requirements across multiple markets.
  • Build a team of leaders and professionals, fostering a high-performing, inclusive, and collaborative talent development organization aligned to the unique needs of this business unit.
  • Manage staffing, including hiring, performance management, promotions, terminations, and other related staff management functions for direct reports and all team members through subordinate managers and supervisors.
  • Effectively leads and coaches staff under his/her direct and indirect supervision.
  • Direct the development, tracking, and analysis of talent development metrics, dashboards, and reports to evaluate effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.
