About The Position
The Group Leader sets goals for program participants, facilitates activities, and prepares curriculum and lesson plans. The role maintains a safe, learning-focused environment for children and provides homework help, facilitates activities, and supervises children in programs outside school hours. The Group Leader supervises and monitors children, takes daily attendance, supports tutors and activity specialists in managing and documenting behavior, maintains supplies, and assists with collecting data and keeping participant documents up to date. The position also attends necessary program meetings and performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Content-specific experience, such as sports, arts, or literacy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Experience working with children.
- Ability to plan and carry out assignments independently.
- Ability to prioritize, adhere to timelines, and multitask.
