This position is responsible for processing all reservation requests, changes, and cancellations. The role involves identifying guest reservation needs, determining appropriate room types, verifying availability and rates, and explaining policies. The Group Housing Coordinator will also accommodate special requests, answer property-related questions, and utilize sales techniques to maximize revenue. Key responsibilities include communicating information about VIP reservations, inputting and accessing data in the reservation system, and resolving accommodation challenges by collaborating with other departments. The role also requires overseeing the accuracy of room blocks and reservations, inputting group rooming lists, revising room blocks, maintaining organized files, and setting up billing accounts according to accounting policies. Additionally, the position requires adherence to company policies, maintaining a professional appearance and confidentiality, protecting company assets, and providing excellent guest service according to company standards. This includes anticipating and addressing guest needs, assisting individuals with disabilities, and expressing genuine appreciation. Effective communication, both verbal and written, is essential, as is developing and maintaining positive working relationships and supporting team goals. Compliance with quality assurance standards and the ability to read and verify information in various formats are also required. The role involves moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance. Reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors are also part of the role.
