About The Position

Marrakech, Inc. is seeking a passionate, experienced, and hands-on Group Home Coordinator to oversee multiple residential programs supporting individuals with developmental disabilities. This is more than a management position; it's an opportunity to mentor teams, advocate for individuals, and create meaningful outcomes that improve quality of life every day. The Group Home Coordinator will serve as the operational leader for several residential homes and will be responsible for ensuring exceptional care, regulatory compliance, staff development, and resident success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, Special Education, or related field for ICF/DDS programs
  • 5+ years of progressive human services experience
  • At least 1 year of supervisory experience
  • Valid Connecticut Driver's License
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

Responsibilities

  • Supervise Residential Supervisors, Lead Program Counselors, and Direct Support Professionals
  • Recruit, hire, train, coach, and evaluate staff
  • Foster a culture of accountability, growth, and excellence
  • Ensure programs are fully staffed and operating effectively
  • Maintain compliance with DDS, ICF, CARF, and agency standards
  • Conduct audits, spot checks, inspections, and quality assurance reviews
  • Lead interdisciplinary team meetings and coordinate person-centered services
  • Ensure all documentation, assessments, and reports are completed accurately and on time
  • Oversee individualized programs and service plans
  • Ensure residents have access to healthcare, recreation, transportation, and community activities
  • Partner with families, guardians, healthcare providers, and support teams
  • Promote independence, dignity, and meaningful community participation
  • Manage program budgets and household finances
  • Oversee vehicle maintenance, safety checks, and facility standards
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to support residential programs when needed
